"And I love her so,
I wouldn't trade her for gold."

About Once...
Set in the streets and pubs of present-day Dublin, Once is a musical fable about love, creation, and the vital importance of vacuum repair. It tells the story a pair of musicians – an Irish street musician and a Czech immigrant – with complicated pasts and similar dreams. The unique folk-rock score of Once, which includes the Oscar-winning song “Falling Slowly,” was created by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova and is played entirely by our onstage cast!
The cast of Playful Theatre Productions' Once is headed by Kelsey Theatre newcomers Lilli Brown (Girl) and Bryan Hill (Guy); the rest of the cast includes 11 talented actor-musicians: Danielle Bradley, Aimee Ferenz, Michael Gilch, Jim Morris, Daniel Mucha, Rich Phillips, Amanda Santos, Mina Schneider, Joan Schubin, Aidan Stallworth-Glitz, and Francois Suhr. The Kelsey Theatre production is produced by Ruth Kresge, Hilary Leboff, Suzanne Smith, and Nancy Russell; the production team includes Frank Ferrara (director), Shannon Ferrara (musical director), Emily O'Sullivan (choreographer), and Evan Paine (sound design). |
